Bows & Browns

Today I fished with my dad and another friend and found some bows and a nice brown. Two nice bows--19" & 20".

Water temp was 60 degrees, wind was calm, we were between storms--rained all the way there and rained as we loaded back up. Fished from 9:30-12:00 noon. Floating lines, 5 weight, with best flies being dark chronomid, bead-head prince nymph, caddis fished wet, and a black leach/bugger. Had some sun and glass-smooth water for about 10 minutes, but light breeze and pleasant temp.

  1. Great report! Was out on June 12th with my brother & son and the wind was blowing 8-10 mph with gusts to 15+ so was a bit hard to stay still. We ended up waking black buggers behind the boat & picking up fish (1st time using this technique). Was fun seeing the fish come from behind & taking the bugs. When I figure out how to actually post to the blog, I'll try to get some pictures up.
